The Hospital Saturday Fund, the charitable trust associated with HSF health plan, has presented a generous cheque for £5,000 to MP Lembit Opik, President of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

MP Lembit says, “The Hospital Saturday Fund has always been a life saver – and today they’ve literally put their money behind this noble intent by giving a hugely generous £5,000 to the cause of curing Motor Neurone Disease. This is a real contribution to an achievable aim, and it’s thanks to HSF that this aim IS achievable! The good news doesn’t stop there - every penny of the money given by HSF will be matched by the Government. So, in effect, this is a £10,000 contribution to the search for a cure. On behalf of all those suffering with this disease, and those who won’t suffer it one day in the not-too-distant future, I thank HSF, their staff and their vision of a world free of MND. It’s a vision we share.”

As a not-for-profit organisation, all HSF health plan surplus funds are channelled back into good causes via the Hospital Saturday Fund Charitable Trust, which makes donations to a wide range of health-related causes.
