21st Apr 2011
Look around your workplace and you will see numerous examples of bad posture. Many men, and women have rounded shoulders, hunched upper backs, tense necks, overarched lower backs and protruding abdominals from sitting or standing incorrectly.
There are numerous consequences of bad posture, not just for your appearance but for your health as well. These include, increased injury risk and increased bone problems as different parts of the body are subjected to more stress than they are designed to cope with.
When the body is out of alignment, there is abnormal pressure on joints and this can result in injury and faulty movement patterns. However, you can fix your posture with simple corrective exercise. Good posture not only looks great, but it keeps the muscles and skeleton in alignment and balance.
For advice on good posture, especially if you suffer from back pain, visit a chiropractor or osteopath for regular check ups. HSF will contribute towards the cost of these medical bills ensuring that treatment is affordable.
